DSS Recykling Ltd. was founded in 1997 and it engaged in transportation and processing of glass waste. From the beginning, we invested in machinery and devices enhancing the quality of our cullet.

In 2005, the company underwent changes related to reorganization and investments. Thanks to two new technological lines for float glass processing and optical separation of glass, as well as thanks to a modernization of an existing line, we strengthened ourselves at the position of one of the largest glass waste consumers in Poland. Modern production works, built from the ground in Dąbrowa Górnicza, and advanced technology it uses, contributed to the growth of our processing capacity. Properly designed infrastructure, latest separators installed on our technological lines and rigorous regulations concerning verification of providers entail a constant growth of our quality standards.

Currently, the company operates nationwide as well as abroad. DSS Recykling has a branch in Gostynin and a number of loading facilities in different regions of Poland.

As of 2003, DSS Recykling operates according to quality management standards PN EN ISO 9001 and environmental standards PN-EN ISO 14001 as confirmed by certificates. Currently, the company cooperates with the largest manufactures of architectural and automotive float glass in Poland and abroad and it provides cullet to reflective paint manufacturers. DSS Recykling Ltd. owns means of specialized transportation and disposal units of various capacity ranging from 1.5m3 to 16m3.

Our equipment

We know that transport affects the environment. However, a lot depends on the characteristics of the drive unit in question, as well as the vehicle itself. We make sure that our fleet is as environmentally friendly as possible. That is why all our vehicles meet the EURO 6 standard.

Commissioning
of glass waste collection

Technology

DSS Recykling Ltd. in Glass Recycling Center in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Strzemieszyce, is equipped with a modern installation for cullet processing, built using the latest technology used in the European Union.

The installation is in an impeccable technical condition. It was built in cooperation with partners, based on example of many similar installations operating in Germany.

All of our glass providers are verified in terms of quality of waste segregation and possible possession of glass containing hazardous substances. We put emphasis on both of these factors, because even the smallest quantities of hazardous substances poses a threat to glass manufacturers.

Our installation consists of three parts:

  • A technological line to pre-crush the glass,
  • Main technological line to process and segregate various types of glass, located inside a production hall,
  • Optical segregation of glass.

We are one of the most modern enterprises of this kind in Europe. Our devices are characterized by low levels of acoustic power, low power consumption, high degree of computerization and they do not differ from similar devices currently used in Denmark or Germany.

Legal status

Glass Recycling Center Construction in Dąbrowa Górnicza was carried out in accordance to construction law being in force during the project as well as in accordance to plans set out in the project documentation.

Our installation has the following legal permits:

  • Permission to transport both hazardous and non-hazardous waste,
  • Permission to collect both hazardous and non-hazardous waste,
  • Permission to produce both hazardous and non-hazardous waste,
  • Water permit to manufacture a water mechanism, that is a sewer outlet to Rakówka river as well as a permit to use this outlet to discharge rainwater and snowmelt water to Rakówka river.

 

The installation, the waste collection system, storage methods, and the mechanical treatment of waste are all performed in accordance to conditions set out in the permits.

DSS Recykling Ltd. has a regulated legal status in the field of environmental protection. In terms of air protection, our installation meets the legal requirements for this type of installations.
